Commentaires

This petrel is one of the most abundant birds in the world, counting more than 50 million pairs. It nest in islands in the Antarctic continent but extends northward during austral winter. It was named after the Scottish-American poet, ornitologist and illustrator Alexander Wilson (1766-1813), who is considered as the greatest American ornithologist before Audubon.
